Pastor Jamal Bryant Stands Up For His Wife Amid Dress Shade

Videos from Pastor Jamal Bryant’s recent church service are going viral, showing him addressing the debate over his wife’s dress for the Masked Ball. Pastor Bryant told his congregation he had to tackle the shade head-on because it was weighing on him. He said it bothered him that people cared more about his wife’s outfit than all the positive moves, like the $4 million raised for the United Negro College Fund. Right after that, he started calling out trolls who made negative comments. He called them insecure and jealous for spreading misleading claims about his Queen. “But insecure, jealous, petty, small-minded people got in their feelings and set up a false barometer of holiness based off of a dress,” Bryant said.

Then he set the record straight, telling folks he actually bought the dress because he liked it! He also told critics dragging the gown that the dress wasn’t see-through, it was flesh-colored.

“But because you ain’t never been nowhere and ain’t never been exposed to nothing!” He continued, “I needed to set the record straight. I bought the dress. AND I like it! I don’t care whether you like it or not. She ain’t married to y’all.”

Chile, the clap back didn’t stop there. Pastor JamalBryant also called out preachers who he says keep speaking about modesty but never talk about obesity and gluttony. “You got out of shape preachers who rail on modesty, but have never preached a sermon on obesity and gluttony.”

Then the church erupted when he said people put way too much responsibility on women but never point the finger at men. “We have placed the full responsibility on women without putting a demand on sexual discipline on men. Be very clear the jezebel spirit is not gender specific,” Pastor Bryant added.

Karri Speaks Up Or Stays Quiet During The Dress Debate?

Now, where was Karri Bryant in all of this, you ask? She stood right on stage while her hubby spoke, giving full fledge “that’s her man and she’s stickin’ beside him” energy. She caught every word he said, looking proud as he put folks in their place. Karri also shared some photos on Instagram after the service. She didn’t address the comments about her dress, but her followers thought she was clocking the shade when she revealed in her caption that she styled herself for the service.
