Claudia Jordan Denies Dating Nelly, He Talks Marriage To Ashanti

Claudia Jordan is addressing rumors that she and Nelly had a lil’ romantic history. Jordan was kicking it with Mimi Faust over the weekend when the conversation popped off during their car ride. The friends were on live with fans chattin’ when Mimi straight-up asked Claudia, “Did you used to date Nelly?” Meanwhile, the rapper recently opened up about his present life, including marrying Ashanti after learning about their pregnancy.

Claudia Jordan Shuts Down Nelly Rumors

In the clip of Mimi and Claudia, Jordan is driving while explaining that she had a contract with Coors Light that partnered with Nelly during the Apple Bottom Jeans era. As part of the contract, she hosted modeling competitions in like 8, which the rapper attended. So, they had work in common, but according to Claudia, the relationship was platonic and work-based only.

“They f**king put me with anyone I take a picture with. It’s so annoying,” she said. Later, adding, “We never even hung out; it was work. He wasn’t even trying to get at me like that. I would do my job and go to my hotel,” Claudia Jordan said.

She added that she possibly stepped out one time with others involved in the Coors Light production, but it was never just her and Nelly. But Mimi kept pressing, saying that she heard Claudia was one of the rapper’s “pieces.” Again, Jordan denied it, saying, “We did not date.” She added that people share things on the internet, and everyone just believes them. Nelly Talks About Marrying Ashanti & Keeping It A Secret

While Nelly hasn’t spoken on Claudia Jordan shutting down remarks about their non-history, he’s been chatting to the media about his wife. He recently opened up in an interview about why he and Ashanti tied the knot. As previously reported, fans learned in June 2024 that Ashanti and Nelly had been married since December 2023, two days after Christmas, per the marriage records.

Nelly admitted that when the singer got pregnant, they hadn’t discussed a wedding or getting married. After some conversations, though, he said he wanted to make it official because everything was “moving so fast.”

“I was just like, let’s just knock this out ’cause we’re going to be doing so much, and everything’s moving so fast, and I didn’t want her to be a baby mama because we already knew where we were in life. If we’re back like this, this must be what this is supposed to be.”
