Bun B Claims THIS City Has Better Food Than Atlanta (VIDEO)
Chile! Bun B is not all the way here for the food scene in Atlanta! Now, his opinion on which city has the better eateries is causing a foodie debate on social media.
Bun B Reveals Which City Tops Atlanta’s Food Scene
Bun B made it clear that Houston takes the crown over Atlanta, primarily in the food scene category. He spoke on an episode of the ‘Honey Drip Network & Aristotle’ podcast, released on August 6. The rapper shared why he thinks ATL isn’t hitting when it comes to good eats.
“Y’all just missing food,” Bun B said of Atlanta. “Y’all just missing food, like y’all got great restaurants with ambiance and experience, and all of that, but ain’t nobody momma cooking in y’all sh*t. I don’t feel like that in Atlanta.”
He quickly suggested that he could be “dead a** wrong,” but the interviewer—an Atlanta native—also agreed with Bun B’s take. Additionally, the Texas rapper said the Georgia city doesn’t know how to differentiate a restaurant from a club.
“Right now, I think Atlanta’s restaurant scene is too built around experience,” Bun B said. “They want people to come in, and they want it to look like it’s going down and sound like it’s going down. People dancing and everything, but that’s what you’re going for. Like you might get some wings and some mac and cheese, but you’re not really going for the full dining experience.”
The host responded that Houston does the same thing. But the UGK icon claimed that Houston can “back it up” with the taste of its food.
“But that’s the thing, our food can back it up because look at where we are. You got a lot of people that live in Houston who are either from or have deep roots in Lousiana,” B added.
When the host joked about “everybody” saying Atlanta has “nasty” food, Bun B clarified that he’s not calling the food gross. Instead, he meant to point out that ATL just “[puts] a lot into experience.”

Rapper Speaks On Similarities Between ATL & Houston
These days, Bun B said he thinks Houston and Atlanta are both known for their nightlife, calling them the “best Black nightlife in America.”
“I think that’s gotta do with a lot of Southern hospitality. You go to an LA nightclub; you don’t feel welcome. You go to New York nightclub, if you can get in a New York nightclub. But in the south, we want everybody to come in and have a good time. I think the numbers work better. Obviously nightlife prices are inflated but not as inflated as like New York, or Vegas, Miami or LA.
He added that Atlanta and Houston have comparable “quality of life” and “pretty close” costs of living. According to Nerd Wallet, the cost of living in Houston stands about three percent lower than the Georgia city.
