The best fashion from the 2024 WNBA Draft (photos and video)

The 2024 WNBA Draft turned into a high-end fashion show as the marquee stars of the collegiate game prepared to learn their professional fates. And what the women were wearing turned out to be almost as interesting as the WNBA teams they’d be picked to play for this summer.

The unofficial winner, according to media and fans, was Angel Reese, the self-titled “Bayou Barbie,” who is already a sports and cultural icon and now can add fashion aficionado to her repertoire.

Angel Reese stood out among the WNBA draftees

Reese, a 2023 national champion with LSU, showed up donning a backless, hooded and sparkling dress made by Bronx and Banco.

Reese was the seventh pick of the Chicago Sky and will play alongside former adversary Kamilla Kardoso. Kardoso, a Brazilian native who played for this year’s national champs, the University of South Carolina, was elegant in a shirtless, monochromatic red suit.

Cameron Blink, who was the second pick of the draft out of Stanford, will report to camp for the Los Angeles Sparks. She was cloaked in a black-and-white cutout gown featuring a risqué slit down the right side.

Caitlin Clark was fashionable but safe on the orange carpet

Most of the attention, however, was affixed on the history-making shooting guard out of Iowa, Caitlin Clark. The Hawkeye megastar, who led the nation in points-per-game and assists became the first athlete to be outfitted in head-to-toe Prada.

The outfit featured a miniskirt valued at $1,750 and a mesh crop top that is valued at $3,500.
