Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Bail Package Updated

Sean “Diddy” Combs is desperately trying to find a way to get home. The disgraced music mogul and his legal team have presented a new bail package totaling $50 million after already being denied three times. Now, however, his legal team thinks they found a loophole in the evidence levied against him.

As BOSSIP reported, Combs is being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after being arrested in September on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His trial has been set for May 2025. You may recall that Diddy and his legal team attempted to have the rapper released based on a similar $50 million package that included an offer of 24/7 surveillance and security, a restricted guest list, and zero access to phone/internet. Combs also promised to surrender his passport. Nevertheless, Combs’ bail was still denied.

According to the Associated Press, the new package presented by Combs’ legal team is even more detailed. He offered to restrict his ability to contact anyone except his lawyers and stricter monitoring. However, the amount of money offered is still $50 million. The request, filed Nov. 8, also claims new evidence has surfaced. His legal team believes this new evidence weakens the government’s case and the court should allow Combs’ bail package so he can prepare for trial from his Florida home.

This new evidence alleges the assertion that the video of Diddy assaulting ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura happened during one of his infamous “freak-offs” is untrue. The filing also stated that the video was “a minutes-long glimpse into a complex but decade-long consensual relationship.” Combs also claims that the conditions at Brooklyn’s MDC violate his First Amendment rights.

Update: Diddy’s Legal Team & TMZ Confirm Previously Released NDA Was Not From A Party

On Nov. 3, reports surfaced that the NDA Combs used for his alleged “freak-off” parties had been released.

The NDA was supposedly standard and asked party-goers not to discuss Diddy, his family, or business associates. However, TMZ later reported that this information was incorrect. Instead, the NDA was used for studio sessions. The NDA was not used in relation to parties or his alleged “freak-offs.”

Though it is unrelated to a party, the signees of the NDA are not to share information about Diddy (and those around him) unless they have written consent. Signees are also prohibited from photographing or taking videos of Diddy. The NDA also covers authoring books and social media sites where photos of the rapper cannot be posted. The NDA does expire in 70 years or Diddy’s life plus 20 years — whichever comes first. Still, Diddy’s legal woes are mounting as more people continue to come forward with lawsuits alleging harassment, sexual assault, and abuse.

As a result, Combs has lost many accolades. He was forced out of his ownership of Revolt, and it was sold back to its employees. His honorary degree from Howard University, obtained in 2014, was also revoked. Additionally, his keys to the cities of Miami Beach and New York were revoked.

Since his arrest, Combs has been relatively quiet, seemingly focused on finding a way to make bail.
