Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ dominates Billboard Hot 100 again

Kendrick Lamar‘s hit single “Not Like Us” has reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, rising from No. 3 to No. 1. The track, which initially debuted at the summit, has become a significant pop-culture phenomenon, maintaining a strong presence in the top 10 for several weeks.

The song’s resurgence in popularity can be attributed to Lamar‘s electrifying performance at the Juneteenth event, The Pop Out: Ken & Friends, held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Here, Lamar performed the track multiple times, captivating audiences and boosting its streaming numbers.

This marks a notable achievement for Lamar as it is his first multi-week No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 as a solo artist. His previous chart-toppers include collaborations and features, but “Not Like Us” showcases his solo prowess. Notably, Lamar has enjoyed a personal best of three weeks at No. 1 in April with “Like That,” alongside Future and Metro Boomin, and his first No. 1 hit was on Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” in 2015.

With its powerful lyrics and Lamar’s dynamic delivery, “Not Like Us” has solidified its status as a summer anthem, resonating with fans across the globe and affirming Kendrick Lamar’s influence in the music industry.
